GTX 580 benchmark

Hi Karanis,

Is your Zotac a AMP2 with 3GB version. How is the speed with other render so far. I'm looking for one pair of this but still consider with MSI Lightning Xtreme Edition cause this card only 2 slots profile. But Zotac is a bit better deal at this time.

My GTX580 is not AMP2, just AMP edition.
The key for speed increase is ventilation. I realized that ventilation helps 10%-15% speed increase on various CUDA enabled applications. Especially, if calculation takes longer times.
You have to take care of heat, otherwise graphics board will reduce amount of energy used, so calculations will take longer.

I got 11 min 22 seconds with a single Zotac GTX580 3GB

I have a second card like it my system but the demo only allows me to test a single GPU, right?

What kind of scaling can I expect with the second GPU enabled?

I purchased the full version which allowed me to run the benchmark with both GPUs.

The new time is 5 min 56 seconds.

Our post 2.46b versions use a new rendering framework that gives perfect speedup, eg linear speedup.
Adding 8 GPUs = 8x the speed of one.
