Good idea. We'll probably do more of that next time.linvanchene wrote:I get that the intended audience of GTC are fellow developers.glimpse wrote:it's insane how much info Guys have manage to fit into those minutes..- You can talk for hours 'bout that! =) but I Guess the aim of these keynotes is to put all the info out, as fast as possible =)
But why not take all the slides Otoy allready created and make a special presentation and recording for the customers?
Bascially each year after GTC Otoy could summarize their plans in a informative PR video targeted towards Otoys existing and future customers.
That way all Otoy users would have a chance to catch up with everything that happened at GTC.
Additional information and details could be added without having to worry about time limits.

So with the addition of Opencl does that mean rounded edges on CAD wont be totally jacked, I'm assuming you could do that as a cpu instruction set at that point and wouldn't have to be limited by GPU code restrictions and what it can or can't do.
Does the open CL implementation and out of core geometry mean that we finally won't be limited by the amount of VRAM on the Gpu? I like that Otoy is implementing various features so that the software is more suited for studio work, but IMO the big elephant in the room is still vram limitations.
