Sorry everybody for my lack of replying in the last 8 hours or so - I had to grab a good bag of sleep after all the marketing and conversion work. Batteries are charged again :D

In regard to your questions:

@thd777: Thanks for your patience - it is best to wait for the updated files - Thanks a lot for bearing with us a little bit longer :)
@Apophis: The Mei-Lin 6 shaders use the Mei Lin 6 UVs for SSS map creation - so they will always look better on Mei-Lin 6 based characters. They were designed to complement her features and geometry better than the Genesis 2 Female shaders can. They also come with custom Normal maps which add additional texture and geometry detail.
@PaulSW: Thanks for your feedback - really appreciate it :)

If you got any more questions - please let us know :)

Kind regards and Happy Rendering

Noel

Hey Noel. I just bought the Mei Lin shaders from Daz. Do those need the same update like the belle shaders as well?

Hi TRRazor,

Just purchased the RedSpec TGX for the G2F. Have found 2 issues. Posted the details in your RedSpec forum. Basically the Irises and Feet node seem to have wrong settings.

Regards,
Rajib

The updates for the Belle 6 and Brodie 6 shaders are live now.
Please re-download them through your product library in your DAZ3D.com account.

You should now find DS 2.12 and DS 1.2 compatible files in the "dazstudio" folder of the corresponding shaders.

Cheers and Happy Rendering

I habe the TGX tailored for G2F too but I don't understand what you've said about Belle 6 and Brodie 6shaders. Where can I find them? Is another product for them on RedSpecSSS site?

No, these are seperate shaders, custom tailored for Brodie/Belle, only available at DAZ.

I have a question on the hair shader: Does that work with hair in general, or only that specific product? I don't understand how it's possible to apply a SSS effect to hair products, as they are usually flat polygons with no volume?

Our shaders do - as the matter of fact - apply SSS shaders to transmapped hair.
We invested a lot of time in research, to make this a believable effect.

And yes - the Bentley hair shaders are customized to function only on Bentley Hair.
Every hair designer uses different techniques to create textures for transmapped hair.
Some even use complete 3d-geometry to create the hair figure/prop.

Which essentially makes it very hard to design one shader for all hair figures.
We are working however on a solution for this.

If you should have any more questions - don't hesitate to contact us

PS: You can see the sss effect very well in the attached picture

Thanks, that looks awesome. I'm fine with it not working for everything out of the box, as it sounds like it would be a good starting point for user costumization. I don't suppose you mean to cover every hair model out there :)
