Does anyone tried to use the object layer ID? I don't understand how to use it.

with the render passes, does the material ID, Zdepth have the motion blur. So far we tried, but there is no motion blur applied to this passes. Is it normal?
one more, we discovered that we can't have the object and material ID enable in the render passes at the same time. Wen both of them are enabled, they don't work (black image) or just output only one or two color. Don't know if this a bug.
Last one. It seems that all the image's path are now relative to the maya project. Refering to the path as: "sourceimages\image.jpg".
This work very well when you are in only one project. But as soon as I get a model or a shader done in another maya project, all the image path break.... This is not very useful I would say. Is it possible to go back to a absolute path? like "X:\WORK\2014_10_STMAMET\01_WORK\3D\BANK\SET\PANDA\sourceimages\wood.jpg" ?
Or maybe we are doing something wrong.
We are in a tight production schedule I must say. Any hint might be useful. Thanks a lot

I have a small question. I just tried maya plugin, and was lighting a scene.
Every time I move a mesh light, it doesn't update in the renderview. Only when I hit refresh.
Is there an option to make mesh updating more responsive. That will make lighting a scene way more intuitive and user friendly.

Theoretically you just need to make you're emitting surface geometry type movableProxy and restart your IPR, then it should work. Unfortunately I've just discovered there is still a long standing issue where once a light/emitter is made a movable proxy it's intensity drops by a factor of 100 which can make having lights set to movable proxy unworkable if they need to be too bright.itsallgoode9 wrote:yes, please add this option in, it would be much nicer to work with!PolderAnimation wrote:I have a small question. so you're saying, that i set my light sources to moveable proxy, then the ipr render will refresh automatically when as i'm moving lights around? that's a bummer to hear about that bug, any clue when the next update for maya will be ready?

Hi Guys,
I'm new with Octane at Maya and have some problems with batch render I don't know if I did wrong but find nothing about it at the manual user, the batch render doesn't save the image show me the place at the default project but nothing saved and I have activate standalone and maya plug for render view is fine but not with Batch render.
also I try at batch comand cmd (left clic at scene file and run render) still doesn't work
one more the percentage of the rendering is should be the percentage of the frame right like usual render engines?
maybe is my maya version maya 2015 64bit sp5 with 3 GTX 780 Ti, should come back at maya version? or everyone have the same problems?

in another thread some people said they were having issues with Maya 2015 and octane although not not specifically your issue. there hasn't been any comment yet from the team yet though.

I have one others error at maya2015 sp5 soon I open older scene with octane this one made with the demo shaders light give this error...

ohhh... I find just now is the extra folder at common\file output\ the name with "/" soon I get off is work, I think Octane doesn't create the folder and then, can't copy if the folder doesn't exist
