Sleeping? :),

I suggest you remove everything you installed and redo the whole installation according to the mac installation tutorial video here:
http://www.refractivesoftware.com/demotutorial_mac.html

That's a demo of an installation on a brand new Snow Leopard machine.

Since you have 2 different cards SLI won't work, so it should be disabled by default.
If you do find any SLI related controls, turn them all off. (However i haven't found any SLI controls on mac myself, i'd be interested in knowing where they are or a screenshot of them :) )

And, before you begin testing, use a simple scene out of our testsuite, like the chessscene.

Hi Terrence,

I don't know how to uninstall drivers and Toolkit on Osx, I'm going to check this and do what you say.

I forgot to say that i run Osx in 64 bits by default by i started in 32 bits and it's the same.

I start to search how to uninstall drivers.

I'll give you feedback.

Thank you,

Cheers,
Nicolas

Colas,

Looking at the screen captures you posted, there seems to be the pins on the node, so it seems something has been imported in. it may sound extremely dumb but my question is have you actually clicked on the node to start the rendering process?
Regards,

Mathurin

Ok i uninstalled everything and i install Cuda drivers 3.0.14 and then Cuda Toolkit 3.0 = it's not opening Octane, it's written : No cuda capable devices found, existing...

i made an update to Cuda driver 3.0.17 = Octane open but not render.

i made an update with Cuda Toolkit 3.1 = Octane doesn't render

i made another update to Cuda toolkit 3.2 and then = Octane doesn't open and it's written : it's written : No cuda capable devices found, existing...

Then i updated to Cuda driver 3.2 = Octane doesn't render.

So now i'm still not able to use Octane. I hope Radiance will find a trick or with a future update i will be able to render something.

Cheers,
Nicolas

The toolkit is only usefull if you are a developer and want to program or analyse you program.
It has nothing to do with some drivers, at least at windows...

Hi Face,

I understand but with or without it, Octane doesn't render on my computer.

I think we're running out of options here. :(
Do you have a windows installation via bootcamp to try to see if it's a hardware issue ?

Nope i don't have one. I could do it...

So if i don't want to go on windows there's no issue for me right now or for a long time?

Hi Colas,
if I were you, first thing I would do a clean install of 10.6.4, then install the drivers for the GTX 285. Restart, repair privileges, check with Cinebench 11.5 that the graphics cards are properly installed by attaching the monitor before to the gt 120 and then to 285. If everything is ok, install the cuda driver 3.1.14, then the CUDA Toolkit 3.1 and Octane in the end.
ciao beppe
