I just downloaded the current OctaneRender_For.....MacOSX.zip that you posed and the same thing happened with the other .zip files you sent. I still have Window>Addons>OctaneRender for Poser as an option to have checked. The OctaneRender for Poser splash screen comes up but that's it. Nothing else happens. I did try it while having Octane 1.50 up and running and I tried it without Octane running.

Attached the the octaneplugin.log file. Hopefully that will help.

Thanks Victor. I am downloading Poser10 today - so will know more about this later. I have found another issue with the OSX version of the plugin (see separate thread) which is a show-stopper too - so there are unfortunately some challenges with the OSX version of the plugin at the moment.

I will get back to you on this in the next 2 days.

I'm really sorry Victor - but I'm made no progress on this. This is ultimately a bug in the wxPython implementation on OS X used by Poser, so trying to find a workaround is going to be a time consuming and difficult process, so I will need to defer it until after ll the plugins are updated for Octane 2.0.

Quick update....I have been having an ongoing communication with Smith Micro on the OS X Python crash, and they are able to reproduce the issue outside the Octane plugin. I have not heard back yet as to whether they will be able to fix the problem or not.

So there has at least been some progress...

There is a user on the 1.50 version of the plugin who is reporting NO problems - and is an Mavericks 10.9.4. I'm still on 10.9.1, which has the crash. Smith Micro are also looking into the issue. I will be updating to 10.9.4 in the next day or two to see if it improves the situation - but if it does, it will mean the plugin won't work on any OS X version prior (ie. no ML, SL, etc). So in summary, lots of activity in on this - but still not resolved.

Another update....

I can confirm that Mac OS X 10.9.4 DOES resolve the crashing issue when changing node types in the plugin. It does however introduce a crash if you change kernel types PRIOR to opening the Viewport. I am working on a resolution to this, however it will be released as an Octane 2.0 version of the plugin.

I will post here when I have more news.
