Hi Leo64,

No sorry, at this stage we can't commit to manually processing student license requests.
If you do not have an .edu, .ac, .edu.[country code] or .ac.[country code] email address you will not be able to get a license.

When will the non-US addresses be added to the system?

Sorry but decisions like these are not likely to come quicker and our teams also can't guarantee any outcomes at this stage.

okay, then you should consider to call the campaing "Octane free for american students"... ore something like that.
I was so happy hearing about the offer - but now I think I'll have to stick with blender-cycles for the upcoming projects.

Isn't this just a thing about databases? I remember that it was no problem downloading Maya with my student-address (thats not .edu ore something else).
I'm studying at one of the most well known universities of Germany, maybe of Europe. And there is also a good chance, that Americans have heard about "Bauhaus University".

I'm sorry, I don't want to be annoying, its just frustrating.

We do support international edu domains automatically, and we're working to support to more universities around the world as we verify new domain requests on a case by case basis.

While it is not possible to commit to a specific turn around time for each request we get, please rest assured we're working diligently to make Octane available for free to students everywhere.
