Yes, and I found nothing about Octane version used by the plugin in the Documentation got through the Button in the Render:Octanerender Engine (v.1.30 - 3.2 beta) Addon panel.
The System panel allows to enable GPUs to be used, but no path for the Octane version.
OctaneRender™ for Blender 1.30 - 3.2 beta Win [OBSOLETE]
French Blender user - CPU : intel Quad QX9650 at 3GHz - 8GB of RAM - Windows 7 Pro 64 bits. Display GPU : GeForce GTX 480 (2 Samsung 2443BW-1920x1600 monitors). External GPUs : two EVGA GTX 580 3GB in a Cubix GPU-Xpander Pro 2. NVidia Driver : 368.22.
Octane engine version is the first block of plugin version number. In this case: 1.30 - 3.2. Blender version number contains the Blender version in parentheses (in this case 2.69).
You don't need to have the same version of standalone installed to run any version of plugin.

So, you have found it, you just have not seen it.ROUBAL wrote:... I found nothing about Octane version used by the plugin...

Thank you very much ! I hadn't understood that the render was Inside the plugin or server ! I thought it had to call an already installed version ! Thanks a lot !

Im sorry- that would be an unsimulated file where you would have to simulate by your self the 400res fluid simulation with float-particle.JimStar wrote:dafassi
I can't reproduce.
Can you give me the scene?..
BUT- i found out that the issue is not specialy one of octane - its something inside blender.
So- for everyone who has the self F12-Crash-Problem: Just set the render-display to "Image Editor" and everything works fine.
Set to "New window" seems to be a problem in some scenes- but as i can read im not the only one with this problem!
Greets!

Hi
I'm having a problem with rotating an hdri texture. It seems that X and Y inputs have no influence on the rotation during live viewport rendering, no matter if I'm using Octane Rotate Transform or Octane Full Transform. Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance, cheers. EDIT: OK, now I know, I should have used Translation instead of Rotation. Sorry for that.

Hi,
Just one question, in Octane 1.30, an option is great but I don't find it in Blender Octane, it's the Object layer map. Did you already put it in the plugins or not ?
Also I found the plugins a few (like 25 %) less faster than the standalone.
In all way, the plugins rocks !!!

Hi
I've noticed a strange behavior during rendering on two gpus. The final image is way darker than what I get in live viewport and has an alpha channel applied all over it (about 70% opacity). It's only like this when I'm using both of my gpus - with just one gpu ticked everything's fine. The problem did not disappear after reinstalling Blender / Octane Server. I've switched back to 2.68 / 1.20.2 and everything works ok. It might be worth checking out.
Cheers
