Request:
  • - Let the mouse icon loop or lock in place as you move the camera in the GUI so that you're not limited by screen size ( and I have some large screens ). it's just always annoying to me when I have to click back and forth and drag and stop and so on, because the window isn't as big as my mouse pad.

    - Lock render pane

    - May have missed it, but camera settings able to be matched specifically to camera focal lengths, etc... for matching the perspective to the camera properly when mixing footage

    - Alpha Transparency - (eg. be able to save the model w/o any Background) - I do lots of virtual product shots, and need transparency many times. (Admittedly I haven't saved an image, so perhaps it's there, and I've missed it, but I expect to see that it's going to be transparent in the render panel and that's why I'm assuming it's not)

    <edit>
    - More robust material mapping. I don't know if it's the file I'm exporting, or what, but my product shot doesn't keep the image with the uv map for the DVD case wrap, and when i tried to add an image in Octane, i wasn't able to really adjust it at all in a way that would work. So having more control over image mapping on a mesh in octane would be great, but I don't know where you would want to draw the line.
    </edit>
Thanks a bunch, great product!

great upcoming features! good job Octane Team!

how about:

- hide/unhidden feature would be great
- multiples cameras in a scene to render different angles would be nice if possible.
- possibility to rotate the obj, would make it easier to have the wanted angle/shot
- I do not know if it's me...but ctrl+Z does not undo...a undo feature would be great..
- could it be possible to lock view on model when editing a material from a added node...sometimes I would like to see the reaction on the model and not on the Octane sphere..

I just started using Octane, I hope I did not ask for things that are already there.

Hal.

Zoom extents would be fantastic for finding the wayward imported object.

When i have two environment images in a mix, then it would be nice when every can rotate seperatly.

i feature request i'd like to see :

the turntable right now only rotates around Y-axis. how about also being able to rotate around the X-axis pivot also ?

this way the camera can also go from low to high while still looking at the same point for a more dramatic panning effect.

It would be nice to have an option that the environment can use as reflection, refraction and en/disable to see.
All other things that me reminds, eg. backcolor, image, gradient, all cameramapped or not, are more compositing things and in this state of the release implausibly.
Maybe in Octane 4.x ;)

For what I have read, this is not really a new request, but rather a +1 for adding the ability of rendering without background (Transparency in the PNG file, very necessary for compositing with live footages for example). I have read something about it, but I don't remember if it is planned and in which version...

Thanks in advance !
