I've installed cuda toolkit 3.0 but don't know where to put those files to.And the file that nvcuda.dll is not exist in the cuda toolkit 3.0 so,that doesn't change my cuda version i think.

matej,
I told him to remove the toolkit because it isnt needed and in other cases has stuffed things up
we are trying to make progress here not go backwards
because you are so helpful I'll leave you to sort his problem out.

I thought if the drivers already contain needed CUDA files, but those are too new (and supposedly causing problems), installing the older toolkit would overwrite them.
He cannot make things worse that are already, so everything is worth a try

I install the cuda toolkit 3.0 but setup makes the destination folder to c/cuda folder so there was nothing there before, and no overwriting ofcourse in this way,how to overwrite them??

If the installer doesn't do it automatically, then probably it's not supposed to happen. I'm not giving additional wrong suggestionsbariscan90 wrote:I install the cuda toolkit 3.0 but setup makes the destination folder to c/cuda folder so there was nothing there before, and no overwriting ofcourse in this way,how to overwrite them??

Leave it as it is, and see what Radiance has to say.

He is usually pretty active here, it is the weekend now though and he is supposed to be taking it easy after his illness.
Its just a bit unfortunate about the driver availability I think.
I assure you the demo does work and the commercial version does as well.
Sorry if the delay in finding a solution is frustrating your interest in Octane.
Every now and again we have a gotcha like this but it is usually resolved if not by a passing member of community by Refractive themselves.
If Radiance hasnt seen this thread and replied by Monday I'll send him a PM about it

Hi,
Please remove the entire cuda toolkit and SDK directories from your system,
and then install the Cuda 3.0 toolkit, and the latest drivers for your linux brand from the nvidia homepage.
There's also a demo video to install here: http://www.refractivesoftware.com/demot ... linux.html
