We will have a look on Monday. Do you've got the same problem with the software viewport?steveps3 wrote:Ah, ok, if I set the image and then untick "Use Background Image" then click apply and the retick "Use Background Image" and apply again it seems to work.

Where is the option for that?
As a general request, when you introduce new features would it be possible to explain them a bit more. It took me a while to spot the extra icon in the viewport. I looked in the help but it hasn't been updated. Are people just supposed to know where to find all the new features and how to use them?

Priority works great! However, the "Low Priority" setting I use, doesnt seem to want to stick, when rendering a animation. So for every frame I'll need to go in and select it.. No problem sofar with using this option! Great release! Love the Zooom window!

Ok, first impressions are good so far!
- I notice a nice little speed increase from 1.11, e.g. 38.11 then vs 39.31 now
- the background image is a great addition - but I noticed a bug where it does not seem to work with network paths (UNC)?
- the priority feature rocks. not sure what you guys did, but even at high priority everything is so much more responsive now (even though high priority is supposed to be similar to before, on my system it is way better now)
Cheers!

Well done friends.
BG image rocks.
Zoom is nice.
Priority is useful.
Good job.

Awesome Update!
Zooming in node graph is very useful. Someone else noted that mmb on a node should zoom to that node would be a great idea. or, at least center on it and zoom to a certain percent (more like how "zoomed in" it used to be with the node graph.)
Render priority is very useful. I set it to medium, see only a small speed drop, but Octane is fully responsive so I can work more "on the fly". then just change back to high when I am going to my final render.
As a note, I am using a GTX 690 as my main card and had to put both the 690's CUDA devices to priority in the preferences (not complaining, just noting for other people who use a dual card)

Great release ! Background image + adjustable sun size + Zoom in Graph Edidor are my most appreciated features ! A big Thank you to OTOY Team ! Well done !
I encountered two failures on one of my two GPUs used for rendering (no priority on them and my display GPU is enabled for high priority).
I can't resit to post my first attempt of an integration of 3D object in real photo ! The Scale may not be perfectly accurate. I have done some measures on the parking lane, but have not taken time to create a full setup to allow accurate placement in the image yet.
The model is not yet finished (I have to model all the inside), but as the parking area close to my house was desert on Easter day, I decided to take some photos to allow placing my own big Easter egg on it !
1600 samples per pixel. Pathtracing. Sunscale 4.
