Maybe I will even keep one 580 too and only sell one. Would need another PSU then..
Thank you Germany for helping someone to test these so we know before buying!

I am a little confused. Is there to be some cut down versions of the Titan sold as 780 and 770 or is the coming refresh we have heard about before Maxwell series cards based on something different? If there was a 3gb 780 with 85% of Titan cores I would be interested, or a 770 with 66% that's possibly the same speed as a 580 fo Octane(?)

good point pixelrush ;)
i'm really impressed about the power consumption of the new beast, what could be the needs of a 770?

For me this is pure marketing, lets throw a bunch of faulty tesla chips to the market and win back the most fastest gamer´s card crown until 7xx arrives. Perfomance wise should be between a 590 <> 690, of course for a Octane prosumer 6gigs of Vram is a plus. Im using a 670 4gb sli right now (900$) so 1000$ price looks like a good deal to me.

Of course there is a lot of marketing involved but why should Nvidia not maximize their income with those "faulty" Tesla?
Throwing them into garbage is not what I would exspect from a company.

I really appreciate it to have an option to get 6Gb Vram now and not paying the large bill like a Tesla which is not even very useful for Octane.

Some pretty impressive compute benchmarks:

@The 7X0 discussion. Those cards probably won't arrive until the end of the year when AMD is making its move. Titan is a way to sell left over K20 chips.

I wouldn't be surprised if they would't arive at all..gk104 is here gk110 is too /in the name of titan/. so.. why would nVidia put more atention to this if They are looking to release Macwell in 2014?.. titan is the fastest sigle GPU. if some pre OCed custom PCB cards will come from let's say EVGA..it will be even faster. So there are rumors..some of them /bout Titan/ become reality, but others might not.. =)..

yeah =) that's it, already listed, so is there a need for faster cards?..even if AMD would come with something let's say in the end of '13, by '14 nVidia would come with new architecture.

well I've read in a few of those reviews that Nvidia have said the Titan will be faster than the 780. So if that's true then Titan will be the fastest single GPU for octane until maxwell in 2014; and who knows how far back that timeline will slip. Nvidia never release on time.

The evga SC version may catch up to the power of the 690, so that becomes very attractive too.
