Please add an invert checkbox in the deep channel kernel for the z-depth, to switch the output from black/white to white/black.
Also for the SDK ;)

Is it only me, but does the material go black when inverting the normal map :/ ?
Win7, i7 980 Hexacore, 24GB RAM, 3xEVGA SC 670 GTX 4GB

hi roeland the color in the wall is blue, my material is beige, why happen this ?
add image, this happen when i switch directlight to diffuse and change to pathtracing

Can you please post your obj+mtl? I think this might be a material assignment or geometry duplication issue.

obj+mtl ? i don't understand, upload images with values ? i export all again and is the same result

Hi merid888,

I would like you to attach the Sala02.obj file (and the accompanying Sala02.mtl if there is one) so that i can load these myself and take a look.
These will most likely be in the same place as the Sals02.ocs file (in E:\OctaneRender\Sala_002 ).

I have always noticed this behaviour in previous versions. As a Blender user, I use Tangent Normal maps created with Blender or more often with Crazy Bump.

When the Normal texture looks not much eficient, I invert it and notice that the material becomes black. When reducing the value around 0.3 or 0.4 the relief looks generally correct. Over 4.3 the material quickly becomes black.

I also noticed hat the effect is maximum for a gamma of 2.2. Tweaking the gamma to get the desired effect is not efficient. The best solution is to remake the Normal RGB texture giving it more strength in Blender or in Crazy Bump.

The invert on texture nodes inverts the color (the same if you did invert color in photoshop) - you cant invert normal maps this way, only bumps!
