this is a trick that I didn't know...
Reducing the caustic blur let pass the sun?....what's the relation?
I have always noticed this behaviour in previous versions. As a Blender user, I use Tangent Normal maps created with Blender or more often with Crazy Bump.Is it only me, but does the material go black when inverting the normal map :/ ?
