Hey Guys, I already did a test on RC3 but i found some problems with MultiGPU activated.

I have 3 GTX 480 SLI Mode

Here are the results:

1 GPU | 500 samples | 15.45 MegaSamples = 1:19 min

2 Gpu | 500 samples | 23.00 MegaSamples = 00:50 sec

3 GPU | 500 samples | 23.50 MegaSamples = 00:49 sec

My third video card is being discarded.

I think the MultiGPU mode need more adjustments.

Here is a printscreen of my scene and a little further down a printscreen of the DeviceManager

wow, it loads way faster, and the weird 0 opacity problem I had with this scene is gone, it still takes longer if the opacity is 0 than if it's 0,001 but it doesn't crash, I'll let it cook an image overnight and tomorrow I'll check both (the one done with 2.2 and this one)
What I've seen is there is lots of new textures to play with!!! that has something to do with the increased executable size?
Nice and swift job, as always. I don't think there has ever been happier guinea pigs....
By the way

Don't worry Elvio, if you send it over, I'll give it good use..... ;)

this is very strange as we have an identical setup at the office and we get linear speedup.
are you're cards all in a x16 slot ? can you try installing the latest drivers ?

Great work, feels much more stable and like the materials... from time to time there are nodes that still wont detach their connecton (they snap back) and if you try several times to detach them, octan will eventually and suddenly close..

Can you try with path tracing and see if there is any difference ?

the dof looks ring-shaped, see first img attached.

Also, when opening a saved scene, the Auto-Focus gets enabled and the focus point gets reset. I think this happened in RC2 as well.

In RC3 my two devices got swapped, so by default I have the display GPU (GT 220) enabled. This setting keeps resetting when opening a scene, so I have to change it in the Device manager everytime I open a scene and before I click on the mesh node.

(This happened in RC2 as well): when the gamma and saturation of the 'Mesh Preview Imager" are BOTH not equal to 1, near-blue colors go black (and to a lesser degree green), like nasty looking black pixels. See second and third images.

a picture sais more than 1000 words... was easy to reproduce... tried do detach second diffuse material from object, this time i succeded but could't attach it again for 4 tries, than it attached and when I tried to detach again it snapped back, and the second time i tried to detach octan closed without a warning.

Have seen also that reopening with the same scene file saved before it closed, I had problems with the camera view, as if it went back to it's standard view and had to adjust the camera view again. I've seen this espaecially happening with .obj models exportet from Sculptris even if imported in Blender and reexported into Octane through the blender script.

that's all for now... good night everybody...
