Are there any big advances in terms of speed and quality in this version compared to the latest stable version?

Adaptive sampling alone is a huge improvement and worth making the OS upgrade, in my opinion. I understand you want to be careful about changing your OS when everything is working fine. I can report that MacOS 10.11.6 works fine and allows you to install CUDA 8. I did an installation on a second boot drive for testing, leaving my known-working drive untouched. I still have it in the machine, in fact, but I've been working in 10.11.6 for several days now and it has not been a problem.aoktar wrote:No you have to use Cuda8.0. This version is crashing constantly for me when rendering animations. Happens a few frames in. Stills and Liveviewer work fine.
Crashed 5-6 times in a row. I uninstalled the plugin and installed the latest stable version without rebooting (just to see if it was actually Octane that was causing this). And since then I have not had a single crash.
Latest macOS, latest C4D R18 version and the latest Nvidia drivers.

Hi Depaman,
what is your exact configuration?
Are you using eGPU solution?
If yes, please have a look at this other discussion:
viewtopic.php?f=98&t=61550#p315060
In short, there is an issue with R18.048, and it is necessary to go back to R18.039 to solve the eGPU incompatibility for now.
