Hey everyone, I've got a question.
Am I missing something here?
As far as I know, this isn't how materials in PBR methods are supposed to behave... or is it? Speculars don't invert just because the diffuse inverts, right?

Hi Ahmet,

not sure if this has already been posted.

In newest Version 3.04.5-R2 Octane looses connections within Mix-Materials
when copying objects to another scene.

Does not 3.04.3 lost that?

when I remember correct 3.04.3 lost the materials of the mix.
In new version double connections (f.e. if one image node is attached to 2 channels) get lost.
So the second connection is missing when copied to another scene.

Maybe you can check if you get same behavior.

There is no change on related code. It happens if you connect same texture to different materials.

at the moment, downloading a few materials from livedb crashes c4d (with octane error message). For example Metals - Starezloto. I've restarted, opened c4d r16 numerous times, same thing. didn't happen 20 minutes ago.

Can anyone confirm the same behaviour?

Bugreport attached.

It's a bug on current sdk on materials with texture in livedb.

still? I thought this was fixed in the latest release - the weird thing is: the very materials worked before in the R2.

It should be a issue for SDK 3.04.5 but previous was ok as i could remember. Sorry for my bad memory due lot of coding. I'm preparing a new test release with latest test SDK. It should be fixed on that.

so 3.04.3 worked, I think - but I think I cannot roll back to this. 3.04.5 made more frequent errors with livedb, and 3.04.5 r2 suddenly starts acting weird as well.
lovely thing to happen while on a deadline, hehe
