Opinions vary, it doesn't have to be funny to you too.
I find it funny because people act like they need it right now for something important, when in reality they just want to play with it.
Sorry, I just can't take that seriously and see no reason why people are demanding software that isn't ready.

I don't see why people using Blender and Gimp can't demand the next version :D

I don't see why anybody using any software can demand the next version, using Blender and Gimp is a whole different conversation that I don't want to get into. I just mentioned those two because it is clear it is not a studio looking for the next version for production use. But instead most likely a hobbyist who just wants to play. I would rather see Octane make it to the final version than to mess around with unfinished betas because people are demanding it before that version of beta is ready just to play with it.

This is just my opinion it obviously means nothing, no reason to try to prove it as wrong. It isn't wrong or right it is just a opinion.

Demanding is a bad word, expecting is better.

Steady releases of intermediate beta versions is good for Octane, because new features get systematically tested, bugs discovered & improvements are proposed by us. In this regard a hobbyist that plays with it is more useful to Octane than someone who needs it in it's production ready form and doesn't have time to mess around with buggy software.

There were a lot of setbacks in the development and people naturally got anxious for the next release.

But instead most likely a hobbyist
Meaning not 100%. Again, just my opinion. Thanks.

I have done a few jobs with it too when the feature list was complete enough for the job at hand which is a very small fraction at the moment.
