Version 2023.1.02 fixed this for me, many thanks!

Heya, trying the new octane on ios 17 and an ipad pro;

Is there a trick to get it to load vertex colours from a .obj? I've changed the material diffuse type to 'color vertex attribute', and from what I've read obj vertex colour should be called 'Kd', but it doesn't work. I know that obj internally doesn't actually name the colour attribute, its just a convention to call it Kd, does octane understand this, or does it assume for some other name? I've tried Cd, color, colour, color1, whatever other combos I can think of, no dice...

Screenshots of octane and nomad (despite imgur's warning, I assure you its safe for work! :) )

I don't have photos but i was able to test the orbx scene and got :
M3 MBP 14" max 40 gpu = 14 seconds
M2 Ultra studio 60 gpu = 16 seconds

i was using the latest standalone though and not the 2022.1 release.

Hi,
here is the link to Prime 2023.1-R6:
https://render.otoy.com/plugindownloads ... R6_OSX.zip

About OctaneX for iPad and vertex color, try to check the .mtl file that comes with the .obj, the variable should be listed.

is there any idea of the timing of when we can get 2024.1X for cinema 4D as a beta at the very least?

Hi, Otoy

If I am already the owner of last year’s Black Friday, can I buy a new subscription for the year’s Black Friday this year, and how to do it correctly? and will GSG+ be active this year too?

thanks,
Ziyo

What are the results in latest 2024.1 alpha builds?
CPU – i9 13900KF, 128GB RAM, GPU – RTX 4090
System – Windows 11
