Hello everybody, I'm very confused with the Particle Engine inside of c4d's octane. Can somebody tell me where to find some info about it and how do i use it?
CPU: 5930K i7, GPU: 2x iChill Nvidia 780Ti, 980, RAM:32GB, Win 7, SSD.
hi daydreamer,
if particle engine is enabeld you are able to render xparticles "on the fly" for example. each partilce will be renderd as a sphere. you can adjust the size and colour of the spheres directly in the the xparticle-emitter settings under visibility-tag if i remember right.
btw.
here a quick vertex-motionblurtest

rendertime was only 30 seconds on a titan/gtx780 rig. DR-diffuse. the motionblur-calculation is so incredibble fast! octane 2.0 is just amazing! thank you ahmet!

thanks to you. Next step will be more shapes on XP. We can use display shapes.useruser wrote:hi daydreamer,

Ahmet, Do you think we will ever be able to use the XP shaders with Octane, or is this just not possible?
