I'm sorry if my comment is stupid but you are running v4 and not 2019.2? Shouldn't this go into the v4 topicdivasoft wrote:Hi. High values of anisotropy & Roughness produce triangle artifacts.

It's actually a valid point to bring up Nejck, but I have a funny feeling there is more to this. It could be that a current issue existed in past versions as well...nejck wrote:I'm sorry if my comment is stupid but you are running v4 and not 2019.2? Diva, if you export the scene as ORBX, to the most recent 2019.2 XB2 Standalone, do you still get the same artifacts?

Yep, was afraid that it could be one of those bugs that persisted from v4 and is still ongoing. I guess I just wanted to make sure

because this problem is relevant for both versions. I checked.nejck wrote:I'm sorry if my comment is stupid but you are running v4 and not 2019.2? Shouldn't this go into the v4 topicdivasoft wrote:Hi. High values of anisotropy & Roughness produce triangle artifacts.

Dear developers, please read this article, see how it is implemented in redshift and implement in octane. No need to reinvent the wheel.

only partially. It not support colored textures and shape of texture affects the exposure of the whole picture. in redshift, this provides the possibility of automatic exposure compensation.Despot wrote:Hasn't that kind of thing already been implemented as part of the 'Universal Camera' ?
I think the node you need is called 'Aperature Texture'
I upgraded from GTX to RTX because of the rtx feature. Today upgraded my octane 4 enterprise to the latest.
NETWORK RENDER => In 2019.2 i have a bug. In 2019.1.3 every works, but no rtx..
I get a green tint, and it does not fully render.
I attached screenshot.
Any idea when next 2019.2 will be released? or is there a workaround? 2019.2 xb2 works fine for me, (i render simple thing), all i jsut need is for the network render to work.
