Hi,

On C4D R14 (Windows 10 64 bits), Cinema 4D crashes when i try to load any xxx.vdb file in the Volume object (by sample bunny_cloud.vdb from openvdb.org). It crashes immediately when i load the file.
I've tried with the Live viewer running or not and i've tried with another files from openvdb.org. I've also tried the same file with the standalone and it works fine.

The volume object works fine with C4D noises.

Here is the bugreport

But I didn't try the demoscenes.

There's always one missing thing when testing things like this... I forgot to mention that I was using the most recent demo version of TFD. I just purchased the full version and was able to get results in the Live Viewer. I tested this in R15 instead of R17 since I'm waiting to hear back from Jascha/Support in regards to being able to use TFD in more than one C4D version on the same machine.

I'm looking forward to doing more tests with Octane (in general) and TFD. Really exciting times ahead! :D

Love these quick updates :). Any word on the issue with volumes destroying shadows when they penetrate objects? And for multiple intersecting volumes? Looking to do some cloudscapes :)

Sorry if these have been covered elsewhere, been too busy playing with the alpha to keep up to date on development.

Hi Ahmet,

with 3.1 I still have that slider-problem.
With Alpha 1 everything was fine.

Did you see this? Change slider types and press apply. I happens on C4D sliders not Octane type. I'll remove that if cannot fix that option.

Is it true that V3 will no longer have a 19 million polygon limit? I just tested out alpha but that limit seems to still be there.

What about free VRAM? It still should fit to VRAM. Honestly i couldn't tested well.

I'll have to look a bit closer when I get a chance but I have 12GB with a lot free when working with very large files currently.
