Oh dear. Well as I said loading the project from the file menu seemed to work. So I saved the project, reopened it and OH, all the materials that where linked are not unlinked. It also looks as if the materials have disappeared. Perhaps I should have been working on a copy of this project

Can you open the OCS file in a text editor and check if it still contains the material nodes? The file is a text file, if you open it you may find the names of the material nodes, for instance check if you can find the text "Mix Material". We haven't seen this happening in other scenes. Did you see any errors or warnings while saving or loading the scene?steveps3 wrote:Oh dear. Well as I said loading the project from the file menu seemed to work. This is an export from blender. Oddly if I import the scene directly into Octane then it works so I am going to assume that it is something to do with the command line that is not working.
if whatever your using to export to octane (i use maya with the old exporter) i can copy the command line at the bottom of maya...so i was able to manually input it. for production however, i just use 1.2 until 1.22 or whatever is next.
hope this helps!

Phew, it works!! I got my project back from the cloud and 1.22 seems to be working a LOT better.
A lesson to be learnt. When it says don't use it on live project, DON'T!!

Hi, there's a way to connect all the pins to a object layer?...in some geometry they are a lot! tnx
