Hey mlody,

As i already saw it a few days ago your artwork forum thread, the 'wow' is'nt present, but seriously, i think you've done a marvelous job.
Could you maybe do some renders of the bot/object as separate images ? just a few angles, maybe you can submit them to the still contest,
i think they will look really cool. i'd like to see the bot up close as the 'flashes' of seeing it are few and very short... ;)

some great entries here :)

I figure I'll add my 2c for what it's worth:

I'll upload an in-octane image when I get home tonite but stats were roughly 2 minutes a frame @1280x720 using pathtracing on an 8800 gts

only things done post render were tossing it into a mov format. ( I do have a heavily played with version sitting on the drive at home tho with moblur and stuff) but I wanted to keep the "almost" stop motion look to the renders.

cheers

Sure. I will prepare some shots which will explain the model :) ... and even ones that are not connected to the animation... some extra shots from me. Tommorow the latest..

I dont want to promise anything, but I got plan to still make this "project47" after the comp. I never rendered 1200 frames on my own rig with such a tremendous quality... always need to work on zilion passes with very slow MR....And make it all in Octane ( HD rendered ), but without all the time pressure :)
I know its not a killer... but I really like workflow with octane and on the last shot... I just placed the " mechanical heart " in wrong place :p thats why im afraid I coudnt make before the end...

sorry for messy english... im in hurry.

Here is:
[vimeo]http://www.vimeo.com/13100212[/vimeo]
Average rendertime is 10-20 min per frame (1920x1080) on GTX285, exept the last one with close up glass (this one took 1h 30 min per frame). There isn't any color correction, just a little glow and flares on post.
Unfortunately, I'm not a character animator so animation is very simple :)
