Thanks,

Do you mean point 2?
"2. When Manually create texture node in graph editor, the nodes are visible, but if assigned the nodes in
the node inspector, there's no update in the graphic editor yet."
I mean, in Graph Editor I can create material, and texture nodes, and stitch them with noodle threads.
Basically I can do the exact same job in the nodes inspector, assigning texture nodes. But if I do it this way,
I don't see the updates in the graph editor, there's no noodle trees visible. Is there a way to see that?
Or it is no developed yet?
the nodes in the node inspector (default and added ones) are inside little graphs in the pins (the triangle pins)
this is to keep things compact otherwise you have thousands of nodes in your nodegraph editor.
we plan to add a 'collapse' function that collapses the triangle into the nodes inside in the graph editor, but that's not for 2.2.

Radiance, can you point me to specific intructions for the reg fix but for XP? I will try that before I put a display GPU

they don't exist on XP...
you should really consider upgrading to win7 x64 or something. it will make your life a lot easier with octane.

Well, dunno if it's quite reported, I know there were some issues with opacity.
If you lower opacity value in a material to 0, two things have happend to me, the first one was a total stall and a crash, but later with higher res (4000x4000) almost topping my VRAM I got total stall and the system didn't came out of it, so I had to manually reset it.
I'm sure you'll wonder why I want a 0 value, actually its to use it as a matte/sun blocker material (I'll post some images in the wip forum later on)

this could be an issue of not setting the registry fix, did you apply it ?

sure, it was one of the first things I did.
The thing is, I can go as low as I want, but if I set it to 0 it crashes, one way or the other...
