Latest on Facebook from Jules:
Closed beta for Octane X (XB16, non-osl build, for recent intel/AMD GPUs on latest 10.15.4) will open up to select octane users next week. It will include Octane X standalone + 9 DCC plugins + render slave, and OctaneBench X. We will post a sign up form in the forums shortly. Testers will need an existing octane Enterprise license, have existing octane CUDA MacOS experience to compare to latest octane X Metal, and also be willing to sign an NDA to enable us to share Octane X with 3rd party software/drivers that that may not be publicly released yet.
I'm on subscription, so won't get to test it. That sucks.

Both. You can choose Enterprise or Studio.cjadams wrote:Isn’t the subscription also enterprise?
hmmm...so you would have to have buy a license for beta? Also in mind, wasn't the announcement last year that new MacPro owners can get a license for free for one year? My opinion, then I will wait a little bit until the "release candidate" version comes out before I buy a real license and use it for a beta product. Because who knows how long the beta phase will last. But nice for People with existing Enterprise licenses...maybe we could get some more information on this next week?

I have a current Octane license but also bought a new Mac Pro which, I believe, gives me access to a free Enterprise license...

well in your quoted text it does say you're eligible for a copy of the 'final and full release'. to be fair, the beta is neither final nor full
. we will see soon enough, exciting times!
