I also have a X58 Asus Extreme board and all runs nice. Can't complain.

One question...
I´ve ordered 2 x gtx titan. I already have a gtx 570 with 1.5gb vram.
Should I use the 3 together? Would be a problem the ram of the 570? Will I notice the "extra" performance of adding the 570 to the titan rig?
thanks!

I would use that card dedicated for the screen while pushing Titans for heavy workloads =)rushes wrote:One question...

fermi based card has not only less of vram, but less textures too. I don't think You notice speed diff,
/as it would benefit prob just around 15%/ ,but for sure it would be less heat & noise without it =) so..
in the end it depends what is important for You =)
The 570 will support your renderings until its vram limit is reached. Then the two Titans will render alone.
You also could use the 570 as a display card.
Still thinking to use one of my 580 with my two Titans too but I'm to lazy to buy a bigger PSU and rebuild all wires...

but If I use only the titan rig, should I see any ui lag?
I have tested in my current setup ( 570 + 460) both using octane to render and I didnt notice any lag.

I ever had UI lags if I render with both GPU. Sometimes I work on other stuff and disable one card if the render time doesn't matter.
Then all is fine. With the 1.11 update there is a reduce lag button in 3dmax but it doesnt work. the lag gets worse.
But lag never was so hard that you couldn't surf the internet or do other very basic stuff.

I`m a licensed customer but I don`t have access to that section. What section is that?
You really made me curious.

Same here.

I am sorry, here is the information about the benchmark so you can compare card speeds:
Total 46.44
Here are results per GPU:
TITAN 13.38
GTX 680 6.5
GTX 690 12.94
GTX 690 13.08
Two gtx690 are slightly different, I don't know why, one is Asus and one is Gainward, maybe they are clocked slightly different. But TITAN is fastest in Octane, I thought TITAN would be 85% the speed of GTX 690 but no, TITAN is the king. I'm using 314.14 drivers.
