I've decided to delay till sunday. this gives me an extra day to add a colourband/ramp node and some more procedural textures, and maybe a save/load material option (if time permits)

I assigned an image to a material's opacity slot; when I click on invert, the texture doesn't invert. Clicking on the mesh node does the trick though.

This is strange... While rendering a scene I'm having sudden halts, for half a second or a few seconds; even though I don't hav a second GPU for display, I'm getting 20 megasamples/second with the 470, but then it halts for a few moments, resumes... until it stops for more than a few seconds and finally big blue screen appears

This is probably not related to beta2.2 RC2's main focus features, but here's what I notice.
1. Tried to link turbulance to bump, but it doesn't have effect yet, though, of coursethe gray scale image does work.
2. When Manually create texture node in graph editor, the nodes are visible, but if assigned the nodes in
the node inspector, there's no update in the graphic editor yet.
(Suggestion: is it possible to add radial ramp/ noise? For now turbulence works great for wood / irregular pattern texture.
Though, if there's radial noise/ ramp, then we can even make eye texture for the iris area. It's not critical, just wonder if
it's easy to integrate.)

you can't use turbulence, mix and scale on bump/normal yet.vanlicht wrote:This is probably not related to beta2.2 RC2's main focus features, but here's what I notice.

i still need to hook these up to the new system, tomorrow.
2: i can't picture what you're trying to say, care to explain in detail ?

registry, no. you once said: "it's not really needed on window XP as the default timeout is much higher." What's weird that it doesn't render slow at all, it's all of the sudden it starts halting...

What can I say, thanks for all the hard work, it doesn't go unnoticed.

"2. When Manually create texture node in graph editor, the nodes are visible, but if assigned the nodes in

I mean, in Graph Editor I can create material, and texture nodes, and stitch them with noodle threads.
Basically I can do the exact same job in the nodes inspector, assigning texture nodes. But if I do it this way,
I don't see the updates in the graph editor, there's no noodle trees visible. Is there a way to see that?
Or it is no developed yet?
