Ciao - Maurizio
Hi SurfingAlien
I don't make my living with graphics, I just like to play with Modo, Vue and Blender. Octane with its a little bit grainy images and depth of field offers exactly the image quality I normally would add in postwork. Therefore I thought I will support them and buy a license at last for my MBP.
It seems I got wrong advices from my local Apple dealer regarding my MacPro; they wanted to sell me a 8800GT for 580 Euro - which I refused. Thanks to your advice I ordered now a 285 GTX.
I still think it would be nice to have Octane on a MBP as well and I guess it is still faster then a classical render with a dual core. Octane is just a Beta, and I am optimistic that this issue will be solved.
thanks a lot
