Thanks for the reply. I think I did not explain the issue clearly enough.Martange wrote: Wed Oct 07, 2026 9:07 amThe purpose of this request is not to remove the 2027 real-time neural renderer. I would simply like the GPU display path and the neural rendering mode to be independently selectable.
Isn't it the case already ? In the latest alpha build, I can use the traditional rendering technique and click the little lightning on the left to activate or deactivate real time neural rendering...
I know that the lightning button can be used to enable or disable Real-time Neural Rendering.
The problem is not that I cannot switch back to traditional rendering.
The problem is the display quality of the traditional Live Viewer.
Since Cinema 4D 2025.2, the traditional Octane Live Viewer has appeared noticeably blurry on my system. The image sharpness does not look correct. This is a viewer/display issue rather than a problem with the Path Tracing result itself.
When I use GPU Texture Viewer, the Live Viewer image becomes properly sharp again.
So what I am looking for is specifically this combination:
GPU Texture Viewer ON
Normal progressive Path Tracing ON
Real-time Neural Rendering OFF
At the moment, I can either use the traditional Live Viewer with normal Path Tracing, but the displayed image is blurry, or use the GPU Texture Viewer and get the correct sharpness, but then the realtime neural rendering path is involved.
So I am not asking how to disable Real-time Neural Rendering. I would like to keep the GPU Texture Viewer display path while using traditional progressive Path Tracing.
That is the distinction I was trying to describe.
I previously reported the traditional Live Viewer blur issue here:
