Hi,
A lot of time just after closing octane viewport, I make a right click on the scene ( I don't know why, spychiatric comportement ) and it make 3dsmax to scrash and quit...
Not just this version.
It is with heavy and complex scenes.

Could you check if you have 'Octane Scene persistency' set to 'Keep all nodes'
(Render settings / Support tab / Common Scene collection Settings)
With 'Keep all nodes', nothing much should happen when you close the viewport.. and re-opening it should be quick..
With the other modes ('Clear all nodes'..), I noticed some issues, but no crash so far.. I'll investigate more..
