Hello,
I made a video that shows a problem I have with my stations.
I have 2 computers (a desktop and a laptop)
on the desktop I have a Nvidia 1070 card and on the laptop I have a 2070 super.
I don't understand why when I do a 3D render on the 2070 super I have a longer render time.
I have done a lot of tests (updated nvidia graphics drivers, windows update too) but nothing to do ... I do not understand why I have a drop in power on the rendering times.
maybe on laptops octane is not optimized.
what do you think ?
Thank you.

Can you do a full render on both systems?

You render through the IPR module (Interactive Preview Render). Try rendering with F9.

Hmm. Are your results in Octane benchmark much different from the average?

yes. on my laptop my benchmark is 2 times higher than my pc.
I put a video in my first post that illustrates this.

If indeed in the Octane benchmark (which is downloaded from the page that can be found in the forum menu and which is a separate program - not related to Lightwave), your results are so different - it's not Octane, it's the video card (for example, the driver) or the system as a whole.

I did a lot of testing on the drivers of the graphics card with several versions. and it doesn't seem to come from the drivers.
To be continued ...

Try to disable the RTX feature on the laptop. Perhaps your scene is not good for RTX and the rendering is even slower than with this option disabled.

Thanks,
