I have been annoyed by anisotropy phong angle for the longest time. It's literally impossible to get usable results.
The issue has been described here: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=73994
In the replies a fix has been promised in version 2020.2. Where is it?

Nice release team! Thanks!
One thing I wish to understand:
Why are AXYZ ANIMA characters exported with weird geometry inside Standalone? It was originally exported from C4D.
Scene is an animation and happens with several files.

If you use the animated ORBX export, then I have no idea. Can you send me a simple scene that shows the problem, so I can investigate further? Thank you.Kalua wrote:Nice release team! Thanks!

@Mojave and @Abstrax,
Thanks. I will send you a test scene as soon as I finish a job I am in.
I found out about Nitrobake (https://nitro4d.com/product/nitrobake3/) and baked with it all ANIMA objects at point level: turned out great in Standalone. I write to you soon.

It's not directly a core or Octane plugin issue. Their mesh is having missing face in the used mode for exporter session. Press 'C' on the object and see what's happening. It's maybe a method to protect their contentKalua wrote:@Mojave and @Abstrax,

I will resend this thread to ANIMA support. It becomes a real deal breaker when I need to render at RNDR/ORC.
Thanks again.
