I made a few tests :
- With standalone scene renders fine on master PC
- With standalone scene renders fine on slave PC
- With standalone on master PC, and network daemon on slave, slaves crashes instantly
Do you have this problem with all your scenes? If not, could be great to get the .orbx file of the scene with this problem to try to reproduce it here.

Thanks,

Load original scene, make a preset of the rendertarget nodes.
Clear scene.
Load items from scene in a NEW empty scene (check all to get camera's etc aswell)
Load earlier created preset for the rendertargetnode.
happy rendering.....
Any insight in this Juanjo?

For me the same problems are still there.
Scenes render fine with 2019, and fail terrible with 2020.
No improvement whatsoever. Rolling back to 2019 solves all issues.
Really hoping Otoy will be able to fix this. It's no fun.

Best regards,
Hans
Hmm, I'm not sure what could be the problem. Perhaps something was broken in the old scene, but I can't figure out how something like that could be possible unless somehow this scene was loading two versions of the plugin or something like that, but I don't think so ...

If they will can "fuse together" as metaballs you will make a new superfast Hyper Voxels! ;-)
Unfortunately, something like that is not supported by the Octane core. The particles are always rendered as sphere primitives.

Are you talking about the volume spotlight or the vectron primitives? Both are already available in the LightWave plugin. Check these two post, that include an example scene of each case:

I thought I saw some OctaneRender 2020 info that showed controlling volumes using OSL. Is that a thing?

It happens with all of my scenes, but It seems to be either an object issue, or a surface issue :
I have made some tests and I've narrowed the problem down to a simple LW scene where :
- If you start the IPR, the network rendering works
- Add one of my objects, start the IPR, and the slave deamon crashes as soon as the scene is sent through the network (Cuda error 700 apparently)
- Delete this object, start the IPR, network rendering works !
So it seems that my LW objects crash the 2020 slave deamon (it works fine with version 2019)
I can send you all of these elements via mail, as my objects are property of my clients. Is it ok Juanjo ?
Thx !
