@rotogames: Thanks for the feedback. Regarding the memory display in the viewport status bar: We display now the amount of usable memory, i.e. graphics memory that is not used by other things.

Thank you for this test release.
I've found a bug in the MeshPreviewEnvironment with an image in the TextureEnvironment :
rotation doesn't work. The image environment is static !;)

Hi all,

One important thing to take into account is that the new multi-gpu framework is a MAJOR change,
eg the whole internal engine has been replaced with a new one written almost entirely from scratch.

That is why this is a TEST release, not the 2.5 in the connercial releases forum.
Expect a lot of issues, the next 4-5 days will give us plenty of time to iron these out before 2.5 in about a week,
and offcourse the community's help in finding all issues is vital here, which is exactly what this release is for...

I think that the portal material isn't operational as Marcus doesn't confirm this functionality in his first message. Can you confirm ?

It should be operational, I just forgot them to mention (already edited the post). I probably forgot other things, too. It's already 1:17am... ;) The crash should not happen and if you have a simple test scene that causes the crash, please send it to support (at) refractivesoftware (dot) com . Any help with reproducible crashes is much appreaciated.
