So is there any news about new and easier Fog?

Almost everybody complains about fog (more than 500 view to the easier new fog post !!!).
I don't understand why it is so hard to accept than octane fog is a mess.

May be i'm a dumb but i've no problem with almost all render setuping the fog.
With octane i never know how long it will take to setup fog, it's like if i discover fog for every new scene.
