Yes, same here, first render you do is black.
Render same frame again, and it is normal.
OctaneRender™ 4.0 for LightWave™ - Beta build 4.00.0.15 RC5

I will send the scene asap. Octane aborts render after a few frames, about 40th. The abordting does not finish, so I have to End Lightwave then relaunch it.

Sorry for this issue. Somehow the Octane API function used to get the image data fails for the first rendered frame. We are investigating what could be the problem.hkleton wrote:Yes, same here, first render you do is black.

Thanks for the scene. Yes, it seems some kind of issue with the denoiser, that fails reporting a message "denoiserThread0 : Initialization failed. Restart required". I'll try to report this issue to the core devs to see how it could be fixed.pixym wrote:This is the attached packed scene, the log file is also included.

You have the rendering mode configured to full scene reload. Can you please try to render the scene again in update mode to see if it helps?pixym wrote:This is the attached packed scene, the log file is also included.

Hi Juanjo,
I will try that once I will be in my office and let you know if the issue still happens.

Juanjo,
I have tried with both of these settings :
1 - Full scene reload = Render Failure at frame 42
2 - Update scene = No issue at all
Best.
