Thank you for the scene and bug reports. We will fix it in the next version.

Will look into it today. Then we need to check what else needs to be done for 3.08 updates and if there isn't much we could push out another small bug fix release this week.

Probably today. Finished the merges into the v3 branch yesterday. Just looking at some more issues reported for v4 and if they are relevant for v3. After that is done we will make the release.

Happy to hear that!

Btw, is that Environment shadow sampling (for Black Shadow render pass) also fixed? (where its occluding too much shadows in areas where there was no shadow in 3.07 version)

The layer shadows work now the same way as the general shadow pass which has a better weighting of the shadows - dependent on the brightness of the light source that casts the shadow. This should solve the issue you are describing.

But good thing that you ask, since I forgot to merge a change from version 4 RC5 that fixes incorrect weight / alpha values at the transition between inactive layer and background and between active layer to inactive layer. Will try to get it into the next v3 build, too.

Glad to hear that, since our team is working a lot with Render Layers workflow.

Hi Marcus,

we've been given the option to get an RTX2080ti this afternoon by our computer supplier. Are you able to confirm it will work with 3.08.3?
I'm not worried about V4 performance optimisations for it at this point, just to know if we buy one now it will work with what we currently have.

Cheers, Dan.
