Seriously, we know for ages we should not use on Production Beta versions and this is writed on the Standalone versions EVERY update of the v4 stop working after update to avoid cracking the soft. same for v3 aswell v2.
I understand your frustration but don't use on production. Let's see if the guys released the 4.0XB4, but my advise is to export on standalone so you can use the 3.08.2 without have this troubles,This is the stable version with all feature only missing the mesh load and denoiser.
I guess the Maya plug for 3.08.2 will be there soon aswell then will be easier.
Just to be clear BETA version is not made to be used with client and on production this is with any render Engine.
This is my point of view here.

I see, can be frustrating here on our company the same I guess the confusion is because you are new on the forum and Octane Standalone and Plugs. The messages are there but no dates, never mind, we are using for a while now and we know Beta is not to be use on production you can test with new scenes but doesn't mean to use on a real live project.
I also understand the fact for the maya plugs is not so much choice but I think the easy would be to release all at the same time XB4 or keep the license live until every plug has xb4 available.

None of what you are saying is helpful, I don't get why it's a debate...
The beta was suddenly deactivated and no replacement has been released. This is bad form but if that's the way it is, that's the way it is.
Backdated to 3.08.1 - 12.46a RC2, scene textures reapplied, Out-of-core memory limit exceeded.
So there is no workaround, everything has to stop until this is sorted...
