I second this. Our internal render management systems only needs this for full usability.nedan wrote: Please, it will be very useful if this can be activated in a command line parameter, also.
Yes that would also makes sens, abeoctane wrote:Maybe the problem I am experiencing with the second gpu in version 3 is because is an oc version?
but really you should export your scene to animated ORBX and render from Octane Standalone to check if you have the same problem or not in standalone.
Also as you may have noticed there's still no support at all from Otoy on the Maya forum

If you never used Standalone, it can be intimidating but really it should not,
this is some really simple steps to use it as a debugger.
So I suggest you to join the Maya Octane Users skype discussion here : https://join.skype.com/SEqj3F3Jfepe
We will guide you trough the steps to figure out if your issue comes from Octane Core,
or from the plugin, or from your hardware.

You don't need to have skype installed to join the MAYA OCTANE USERS group, abeoctane wrote:Hi callus, Yes support is not all good, I dont use skype but I think I will get a webcam, thankyou very much for your help.
you will have a temporary skype profile for 24 hours and will connect to the discussion trough the web application.
Also this is just a chat, no webcam involved

About your strange issue, I think I experienced the exact same problem as you !
This happened after I was testing saving my scene while IPR was runing : the per GPU settings went mad, and random GPU were failing for no reason.
conclusion : Always stop Octane IPR before saving your scene or Octane might become crazy/unstable.
