I'm heavily considering buying the Cinema 4D Plugin, but it seems a bit backward that we can't install a working demo of the latest Octane in order to test before we buy. Why is this unavailable to demo? I've just upgraded to the 1080 and there's NO way for me to test the system.

Additionally, I'd like to test because I'm considering adding 2x GTX 580 3Gb to the mix and can't find a straight answer on whether that will help or hinder render time. Now I have no way to test it myself unless I go ahead and buy the full version. It's a little frustrating.

one of the things mentioned to come in 3.1 is a headless system. I guess that means you could mix and match. But as of right now mixing in the 580 cards would lower your total ram.
