Hi,
..no CUDA GPUs? I just setup the new GTX1080, make an BIOS update, check the CUDA Version (V8.00), install the latest octanerender 3.01.1 and start Octane-> no CUDA GPU? I thought the latest version of Octane works with the GTX1080? Please help!

I'm looking for a long time in the Forum for the answer when it will be a solution for the Pascal based cards. I could not find any answer from Otoy. Exits any timeline? For an upcoming project I would like to buy more cards - GTX980ti, GTX1080?

This is answered several times. There is not any exact timeline for a compatible version. It's dependant to several factors as release of new Cuda version(8.0), some luck on integration, human factors, etc.. Octane is still under big revisions due upcoming features. Not easy to do new changes without completing the current processes.

The core Octane team will be able to push the needed updates once the final version of 8.0 is released. There are current development processes that would only be upended if we pushed for 8.0 at this current point. Once the proper 8.0 toolkit is in hand, we can comment in more concrete terms about 1080 compatibility

Sorry but before I upgrade a full render farm I check the forums and see if the hardware is supported....you really can't blame other people here. Everyone knows GPU computing can be tricky.
