Nope :-/ I normally use manual rebuild of materials, but switching to DUF also worked without issues. Loaded the file and rebuilt the materials. This must be really frustrating.
Does the test scene you uploaded include the shell? I can try playing around with that to reduce the variables.

Thanks a lot for checking again.
Still, at the current time as long as there is not a second user who actually can reproduce this behaviour we can let this rest. I now know several workarounds how to deal with this...

To summarize:
The plugin does not lock up when adding geometry shells when
- the object has just one surface
- the plugin is in AUTO or MAN mode

The plugin locks up when adding geometry shells when
- the object has at least two surfaces
AND
- the plugin is in DUF mode
AND / OR
- a so far unknown 3rd variable / parameter is active

The challenging part is that more than one of those criteria have to be met to encounter the lock up.
If the object just has one surface and DUF mode is activated no lock up happens.

As a last remaining step tomorrow I will uninstall the OcDS plugin, delete all remaining files manually and then check if I can still reproduce the issue.

When loading geometry shells with multiple surface zones while in DUF material conversion mode a locked state of OcDS is triggered.
That should give me enough info to track the problem down. Thanks.

Hi, I always have the same problem.

The best way to create the issue is to conform different generation of character and clothing. For exemple G3F and G2F clothing.

I just had the same issue all of a sudden :( Clean scene with GF3. Octane UI freezes - everything is greyed out - but Daz keeps running. Deleting the shell doesn't help.
I haven't made any changes to DAZ or the Octane plugin since I posted in this thread about not having these issues. No video card updates either.
