Version 3.00 - R1.1 (25.05.2016)
Moderators: ChrisHekman, aoktar
We have notified that OSX files are in wrong place. It's possible to fix it by manually moving the plugin files to c4doctane directory. Also i'm reuploading to fix that.

Does this include per-frame control from XParticles to Octane render instances?aoktar wrote:
In my sample, xp trails works as hairs via object tag. Gets the color with help of their uv coordinates. But spheres are render instances and no way to sync the colors by user. Just possible to use random texture over there. Another possible way to use mograph colors on non-render instances. But soon Otoy will bring a way to create custom texture for render instances. Waiting.....
I'm not sure what you mean. But Propably yes. it's just not limited to XP stuff, also for all render instances(scatter node in octane side).ChrisMills wrote:Does this include per-frame control from XParticles to Octane render instances?aoktar wrote:

Hey Ahmet,
thanks alot for Beta 2!
The linked example file called houdini-explosion.zip contains a C4D file without a VDB volume object.
Instead, there is the (new, experimental?) standard volume object with a noise loaded.
Is it interesting to load the Houdini VDB sequence or parts of it up to the web?
If so, what would be the reason Otoy does not?
Nevertehless, thanks for the demo file. Seams to be a standard explosion setup, with no transfer of velocity vector data for motion blur.
About the new volume object: one simply drags any object below the volume, is that right?
If so, is there a way right now to center or position this object in the "domain"?
Mine will always move to an edge.

you're welcome. I have changed volume object for having two different behavior. 1-Volume generator 2-Vdb loader. I think old setups are corrupted due this. I'll check it.dinf wrote:Hey Ahmet,

Vdb sequences are very big for quality outputs. So i haven't consider to upload it. Someone can re-simulate via houdini scene file.
I couldn't get the last question. Any images?

Hi aoktar,
i guess this is wthat he meant. I got the same behavior here. I know, disabeling the sphere will make it invisible. But the Fog seems to be centered at the edge of the FogVolume
The editable sphere is a child of the Fogvolume.
Daylight, camera, nothing else done in here.
Thanks for this awesome feature anyway
Have a nice day,
Chriz

Hi Ahmet,
Really annoying issue with live viewer updates on last version.
Take a look at the video attached. got weird artifacts and can't really work.
Only i got those?
*In the example it happens mostly outside the work area, but sometimes it also inside the work area (like 0:46)
Thanks.

What is going on? picture viewer not writing the files.
another video attached. i'm reverting to a previous version, this is a workflow killer
UPDATE - Revert back to version Alpha6.3 solved this issue, files are now saved (I had the same problem with Alpha10)
But the live viewer issue is not solved. Maybe i should update my Nvidia drivers (It is safe now to update from 362.00 to 365.19?)
Thanks.

yambo, first one happens when used background. It's same for many versions.
I don't have any idea about second problem. But i'm away from computer. I'll check it soon.

Indeed Background. i probably missed it before.
But the file saving issue solved only when reverting to previous version.
Thank you!
