First, thanks to all
Now on the drops, I know they are a little oversized, but on the first test that were smaller the look was to subtle, It might not be quite "real" but I liked it better when I scaled it. On how they were done, well it's a bump texture, first I thought of doing it by "hand" on photoshop, but then I found this neat tutorial, http://www.3d-palace.com/xenomorphic/ed ... ipples.htm at the bottom he added the zip file which contains a max scene, with that setup you can just render at any size to create the bump map I used, just in case I've added it (btw It might look good in an alien I've seen somewhere ;) ) I was planning on writting a small tutorial explaining how I did the whole scene, but I've been out this past 2 days. I was pushing to have it done for tomorrow, but It'll have to wait till friday, and I'll add the ocs+obj+texture files to play with

To be more precise, this is the car "paint" material setup
carpaint.jpg
I did a box unwrap on the car.
This is the hand painted mask I used to control the mix material for the standard black paint, and the "wet" one
coche base agua mask.jpg
And this is the bump one mixing the water drop with the mask and used it as the bump channel in the wet one

Hope it helps meanwhile.
Cheers

I'm curious about the streaky, motion blurred look of the rain drops, how was the material for them?
