This is the error I am getting with the archive, which I just downloaded again to make sure:aoktar wrote:What you mean? Tested now, file is ok.jayroth wrote:I'm getting an invalid directory error on the windows download...

Is it fast? Oh, yeah!

Thank guys, nice to hear that you loved it.
My all effort was about lightweight workflow. Still need to make stabilisation. Also I would like to hear any advices about scatter object. It's not at half of my ideas. Also please don't forget that some updates on Scatter can cause to change distribution function. So your objects can have different position/scale/rotate. If you don't mind it use it.

Thanks. It's disabled atm. It will be my surprise when 3.0 appearedxcaseyx wrote:ahmet this is so awesome. Could you please share some details on voxel particle rendering? I can't seem to figure out how to do it, or how to get anything to render.

Best,

Oh man, Ahmet this is GREAT. Scatter has me extremely excited to do larger outdoor scenes. I noticed Scale and Rotation randomness arent implemented yet, so i'm excited to see just how much better things look with it
. Will there be more control and parameters in stable versions, maybe positional noise? I'm also wondering if i'll be able to use the particle rendering with BIN sequences from Realflow, which come in as Thinking Particles. Seems like only standard particles work for now.
Again, SUPER excited by this!

Scatter has lot of potential i think. Best way to work faster with render instances. Cloner, etc. is too slow for high amount objects. Of course i'm going to improve it. New section for positions with texture as in scale and animation support. Scaling is working but you may need to uncheck "uniform scaling". Interface is not well atm. Rotation is just working for H rotation. I'll take a look. Last, there is a parameter, "Keep Away". It's for giving some distance between instances. It's not completely finished. I'll improve it. But that's fine for avoiding overlapping the objects.Polygons wrote:Oh man, Ahmet this is GREAT. Scatter has me extremely excited to do larger outdoor scenes. Also, particle engine is another big story. I didn't worked on until 3.0 comes to my hand. And now looking to it. I'm thinking to provide a large support for lot of plugins like TFD, X-particles, realflow, etc.. Imagine that you'll use it to clone the objects or make smoke, fire, etc.. Even some additional object for custom volume generations. We'll see...
See attached scene for another sample with scatter. Thanks!

Thanks - this update is great. Is there any way to shade the particles via Octane or is that in a future release?
