Is there still 12 GPU limit?

To render with LWSN you need a full combo license (Standalone+Plugin) in each render node. Rendering with LWSN is not limited to 12 GPUs, you can use any number of LWSN render nodes to render an animation (the only limitation is that each LWSN node can't have more than 12 GPUs).

But you can network render using the Octane native network rendering tool. In this case you only need a Standalone license in the render nodes (you don't need the plugin license for the nodes), but the native Octane network rendering only supports up to 12 GPUs, including the local GPUs.
