I have clarified the ABC export functions with Otoy, and have updated the manual page to reflect some important info related to this...https://docs.otoy.com/DazStudio/?page_id=495. In particular, if there are only 3 changed frames in a 500 frame sequence, only 3 frames get loaded into Octane Standalone. Also, make sure you match the Octane Standalone FPS with DAZStudio's FPS.
I have also fixed a bug where the end frame was not displaying correctly on the exporting dialog (which could have caused you some confusion).
If the animation just stops for no reason, check you memory (via Task Manager), and also make sure you haven't run out of disk space. Finally, make sure you didn't accidentally press <esc>!

One final point, if the export terminates early, what does the Log say (at the bottom of the System)?

Hi Paul,
It is nice to see someone answering here quickly.
That's not it - I have 22GB free ram, 1.5 terabytes free disk space, I'm not pressing any keys, the export just stops.
Here is a screenshot of the export working:
https://s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/p ... ort338.png
And a screenshot right after it stopped at frame 441 (of 1080):
https://s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/p ... finish.png
You can clearly see the animation indicator that shows exactly where export process has stopped.
And I don't see any log messages. Is there another place where I could check?
Another thing,
I have been using a lot of Alembic files exported from 3ds Max in Octane Standalone and I've never seen Octane to skip the Alembic frames that don't have any moving objects.
Here is an Alembic/Orbx test file that has 600 static frames and 600 animated frames, it works perfectly.
https://s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/p ... cube2.orbx
https://s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/p ... z/cube.abc
Are you talking about the plugin release 2.24.2.5 that is going to include Alembic fixes? When is it going to be available?
Best regards,
Hando

I don't have an answer for you on the random stopping of exports. Suggest re-testing with the next release (early next week), and if it's still an issue I can take a closer look.
Paul
My understanding is that it is the static frames at the END of the animation which are culled.Another thing,

Yes, 2.24.2.5 includes the animation fixes, and will be early next week. Are you talking about the plugin release 2.24.2.5 that is going to include Alembic fixes? When is it going to be available?
