Unfortunately I have a little problem. Trying to render a simple animation, alembic file from the 3ds max. Everything works fine in standalone version 2.06, but in version 2.10 and 2.11, when i click "Render imported animation" Octane instantly crashes.
Could you send us the scene? Thanks a lot in advance.

Cool, cheers for all the fixes.

Is there a way to output multiple material Mattes with Red, Green and Blue mattes (or black and white mattes) as part of the main render?

So if we have 20 shaders in the scene we get either a black and white matte for each shader, or a multiple layers, each containing 3 shaders with designated Red, Green and Blue mattes (for easy masking).

cheers.

im a c4d octane user and just ran into static noise problem becaue of lowering samples to optimize rendertime for a long animation. the same problem was also reported in 3ds-max forum... noise moves probably due to PT-refraction and bounces, but there are obvious noise-structures, that remain static. my scene is a pure camera animation, therefore the static effect is really distracting. i killed it in post, becaue i dont want to miss on the new renderspeed improvement, but as many already saisd, static noise is a NOGO for animation. is this problem known on standalone 2.1 or 2.11 as well!?

great work so far. amazing as always!

Awesome. Glad the network render bugs are sorted out.
Looking forward to playing with hue/saturation :)

Some excellent updates. I look forward to them spreading onto the LW Plugin.

Glad to see more procedural noise (well done), and the new inputs in the correction node. Not sure about losing the ones we've lost, but I only use them for contrast so hopefully the new contrast input will give me that.

BUG: When I open standalone version 2.11 and then select from menu Scripts->Turntable Animation the program crashes. Same goes for Daylight animation.

This happens always and with every scene, even with just a cube.

I have gone back to 2.06 because of this. I'm sure this will be corrected soon.

Great progress guys. I agree about the static noise, not desirable.

Another thing I am wondering if you guys had a chance to look at the gtx980 speed hit, I just tested screws scene on 2.11 here and I get 1min 15s on gtx570 and 1:10 on gtx980 (PT) ...this really leaves me baffled :/

We are looking into it right now.

That will be the next thing on my to-do list, but it may take a while until I can say something specific.
