Thanks Paul. It seems there is a bug with saving tonemapped EXRs. They are saving with the wrong gamma (washed out). I reported it to the standalone thread.

I just checked this, and can reproduce the issue.

I have refreshed the installer at the top of this thread with:

2.11.1.32
- Added ability to save Multi-layer (untonemapped) EXR from the Save button
- Added ability to save specify Multi-layer (untonemapped) EXR when rendering an animation. IMPORTANT: You must set Start Samples (in the Render Passes panel) to 1 in order for rendering animation passes to work correctly

I have been looking for the release notes and I can't find them anywhere. Could you post a link to them?

Which release notes are you after pls? The Modo plugin (which are a few msg up from here), or Standalone (which are at http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=42854).

Was the standalone, looking for the static noise kernel you were talking about. Thanks.

Hi Dmitry - you are right. It is because the plugin thinks rendering all passes has finished when some of the later passes haven't started yet. I will fix this.

If using the standard Save button to save a single frame, you need to wait for all render passes to finish rendering.

Can the manual be updated for the render passes? In the manual, the selections are different... I don't have the specular or a few other options listed...

Render passes are "beta" at the moment, so we can expect a few changes over the coming releases. Once the functionality has settled, I will re-do the manual page to better reflect the final functionality.
