I tried to go through buy process up to paypal and was not offered the lw plugin to choose from. Where does it record that I will get free lw plugin when it is available?abreukers wrote:For a limited time, users who upgrade to OctaneRender™ 2 can also upgrade an existing plugin license (first-party or third-party) at no additional cost to make use of an available OctaneRender™ 2 plugin or receive a voucher towards the 2.0 plugin when it’s available...
This means the user must have had a previous v1.x Standalone license and the v1.x plugin license
NEW: You asked, we delivered: OTOY releases OctaneRender™ 2 with a dozen new features by community request

You guys are awesome. Thanks a bunch! I'll update now. Can't wait for Blender to follow. Really looking forward to using displacement and hair the most. I really needed that.

I bought both the maya plugin and the daz studio plugin and yet when I upgraded my standalone to 2.0 I wasn't offered the option of upgrading for free either maya nor daz.
So what's the scoop?

If I have Octane Standalone 1.x and Octane for Cinema 4D 1.0 and want to upgrade to Octane 2.0, I can use plug-in for C4D with Octane Standalone 2.0?

Yeah same with lightwave plugin. I think they will send a voucher by mail when the plugin is actually avail so you can claim it.xxdanbrowne wrote:I bought both the maya plugin and the daz studio plugin and yet when I upgraded my standalone to 2.0 I wasn't offered the option of upgrading for free either maya nor daz.

Yes, the 2.0 licenses are backward compatible (they work with all 1.x releases as well).PavilionVL wrote:If I have Octane Standalone 1.x and Octane for Cinema 4D 1.0 and want to upgrade to Octane 2.0, I can use plug-in for C4D with Octane Standalone 2.0?

If the plugin is not available yet the 'voucher' is stored against your customer account with us. When the plugin license becomes available for upgrade in the future, it should show in the license upgrade page just like the standalone did. Just tick it and if you have a voucher that is unclaimed, it will automatically be used and you will not be charged for the upgrade.geo_n wrote:Yeah same with lightwave plugin.
